Known to some as “MILF Supreme,” and to others as ‘the most beautiful Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji has proven time and time again that she possesses eternal babyface, beauty, vigour, and youth both on and off screen.
Born on May 3rd, 1979 in Mbaise, Imo State, Genny started her acting career as a child actress in the then-popular television soap opera “Ripples” at the age of 8. She went on to feature in many TV commercials including Omo detergent and Pronto Beverage.
At the age of 19, she made her debut in Nollywood in the film “Most Wanted“, and her captivating performance in 2002’s “Sharon Stone” put her at the forefront of the movie industry.
Having starred in over 80 movies including blockbusters like Ijele, Mirror Boy, Blood Sisters, Last Party,” “Mark of the Beast, etc., Genevieve Nnaji has earned every award she’s ever gotten due to her immense contribution to the Nigerian film industry; She won the best actress of the year in the 2001 City People Awards and in 2005 at the inaugural awarding of the prestigious African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), amongst many others both locally and internationally.
In 2009, Genevieve also made history by being the first Nigerian actress to be profiled on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
