Antman 2: First Look at Evangeline Lily’s The Wasp Costume

It’s now less than a year to go before Antman and The Wasp hits the big screen, and though we’ve heard some very interesting details about the sequel, today we have received a special early treat. In honour of what would have been Marvel Comics legend Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday, actress Evangeline Lilly has shared our first look at Hope van Dyne’s The Wasp Costume (check it out below).

Evangeline Lilly shared this image via her personal Twitter account, and it’s a wonderful look. However, the reveal is shocking because the costume she is wearing is not the same costume she looked at in the post-credit scene of Ant-Man back in 2015 (video above).
Does this mean that she ditched her mother’s suit and worked on a new suit from scratch with her father? or does this mean that we will see the possible return of Janet Van Dyne (Hope’s mother), who may end up wearing the suit she created with her husband and original Ant-Man, Hank Pym?

Whatever the case may be, we sure can’t wait to see the actress spread her wings, fly, and stun bad guys in this costume!
Peyton Reed and his cast currently are in Atlanta filming the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, and the cast looks as high-profile as any standalone Marvel movie. In addition to return leads Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and the Wasp adds Michelle Pfeiffer to co-star alongside Michael Douglas, forming the mighty Marvel power couple of Hanky Pym and Janet van Dyne. But that’s not all. During the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed that Laurence Fishburne was joining the MCU as Dr. Bill Foster (also known as Goliath), while Walton Goggins was signing on as Sonny Burch.
Antman and The Wasp will fly to cinemas on July 6, 2018.
