Aegis is a Nigerian comic created by Martin Okonkwo and Emmanuel Ezeabiama, and it’s being published by Epoch Comics.
It follows the story of a guy named Dede, who is on the run from criminals and powerful people, while angels and demons battle for supremacy behind the scenes. The story is warm, rich, and the signs of world-building and depth shines through in just five issues.
The art is simple and sublime and it makes it easy to follow the action as it happens when it happens. You aren’t lost trying to figure out what is going on at any given moment.
