IT: Early Reviews Are In… And They Are Scarily Great!!!

The fall is a great time for horror movies. With Halloween season causing audiences more willing to be scared, there’s usually a ton of horror flicks premiering in the month of October. This year is certainly no exception, which may just result in movies like Jigsaw and Happy Death Day to cannibalize itself in regards to box office performance. Perhaps that’s why the new IT movie will arrive in just a few weeks. Reviews are just around the corner, although critics have seen early screeners for It, and have recently shared their thoughts via social media, it looks like IT is actually a quality horror movie that will delight the property’s generations of fans.

#ITMovie is a very handsome, polished execution of a story you know inside out. The big surprise is Finn Wolfhard. Really earns his spot.

CinemaBlend’s Eric Eisenberg’s reaction was overwhelmingly positive
Thrilled I can now say that IT is spectacular. Totally terrifying, but also amazing fun (the Losers are PERFECT). Top 10 candidate for me.

Collider’s Steve Weintraub applauded IT, and claimed he was ready for the sequel immediately.
Just saw IT. Really well done. Cast were all great with some twisted visuals. Going to make a ton of money. Ready for the sequel tomorrow.

LOVED #ItMovie. Captured the spirit of the book & still created something new. Perfect combo of dark & fun. & The Losers Club was PERFECT! 👌

Felt a Poltergeist meets the Monster Squad vibe – a great example of a film where its R rating elevates it in all the best ways

Overall it looks like IT is set to be one of the biggest hits, horror or otherwise, for the year.
