Thor Ragnarok: 7 things We Learnt From the Official Trailer

The official trailer for Thor: Ragnarok was released by Marvel two days ago, and it was even crazier than the first. The trailer gave us more information on what to expect from Wakiti’s masterpiece set for release in November.
So let’s take dissect the trailer and see the seven things we learnt from the new Thor: Ragnarok trailer.

1. The Movie Also Features Bruce Banner and a sentient Hulk

Earlier speculations were centered around the fact that we were going to see The Hulk in the flesh throughout the movie with no Bruce Banner. But as the new trailer showed us, both Bruce and his emerald monster are heavily featured in the movie, with scenes of Thor talking to both of them for long periods of time. And yes, The Hulk is now sentient.

2. Loki Was Betrayed

Loki, who probably freed Hela from captivity will end up getting betrayed by her. The god of trickery is currently the ruler of Asgard, so for Hela to come for his throne after he finally became king is nothing short of betrayal in the highest order. Hence, Hela asking him, “I thought you’d be glad to see me?”

3. Hela Battles the Valkyries

Hela fought the Valkyries whose job is to guide the honoured souls who died in battle to Valhalla where Hela is powerless to touch them. However, they were all defeated, which is how Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) came to be on the Grandmaster’s planet and his gladiator games as we will see later on.

4. Fenrir The Wolf

In Norse Mythology, Fenrir is one of Loki’s three children – which includes Hela (but this has yet to be confirmed in the MCU). Fenris is a wolf who is prophesied to kill Odin during Ragnarok. The same wolf that is seen battling The Hulk.

5. Korg Finally Makes An Appearance

Korg is a one of the gladiators who fought in the Grandmaster’s games on Sakaar. He escaped with The Hulk and others and may probably team up with them later like in the Planet Hulk storyline, or will go back to his own planet. But his screentime in Thor: Ragnarok hasn’t been confirmed yet.

6. Rune King Thor?

Rune King Thor is a version of Thor who had to gain extra powers from the Odinforce and tree of Yggdrasil itself to be able to put an end to Ragnarok. Yes, Thor plus the Odinforce plus the Yggdrasil, at the cost of losing both his eyes (according to the comics). Rune King Thor is not only powerful on a whole other scale, but he knows all the secrets of the universe. His powers were so great, that he beheaded Loki in the comics, but kept him alive with his new found powers. We don’t know how it will play out in Thor: Ragnarok yet, but this scene may be a hint as to the possible appearance of the Rune King thor storyline.

7. Sutur

Sutur, the demon who has killed Odin and other gods in the comics will be in Thor: Ragnarok. The fire giant ruler of Muspelheim can be seen in the trailer as the firey beast The Hulk is about to land one of his infamous Hulk Smashes on.
