The next movie in the Transformers franchise hopes to rewrite at least some of what we’ve come to expect from these movies. Transformers: The Last Knight will definitely still have all the explosions, action, and thin yet weirdly complex plot we’re used to, but the film will do that in a few notably different ways. For one thing, The Last Knight will feature quite a few new human characters, most of them not old enough to drive a car. Check out this new clip showing off the new-faced characters on the run from a killer robot.
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards premiered this new clip from Transformers: The Last Knight that finds a group of kids surviving in a post-apocalyptic city setting. What is this desolate wasteland, you may ask? Chicago, which has not quite recovered from when the Autobots and Decepticons used the city as a battlefield in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Led by Izabella (played by newcomer to the series, Isabella Moner), the kids are on the run from a distinctly un-Transformer-like robot. They find shelter underneath some rubble and anxiously wait for the sentry to pass. Once the threat leaves, they settle, only for the rubble to begin to rise, revealing itself to be a wizened Transformer.
