Crunchyroll Adds The Silver Guardian Anime Simulcast, Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Film

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream Emon’s The Silver Guardian (Gin no Guardian) anime as it airs in Japan this spring. The stream will premiere worldwide outside of Asia on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
Crunchyroll also recently announced that it has added the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz Special Edition film in Japanese with English subtitles. The 1998 film compiles an earlier three-episode OVA series, which debuted in 1997 as a sequel to the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing television anime. Crunchyroll is also streaming the television anime.

The Silver Guardian has a different staff than the staff that was announced last March. Masahiko Ohkura (Yukikaze, Blue Drop) is directing the anime at Haoliners Emon, and is also handling the series composition alongside Hidefumi Kimura (Uta∽Kata, Kiddy Grade). Yoshiaki Tsubata (Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director. Minako Seki (both seasons of Kingdom) is composing the music.
Crunchyroll describes the story:

The protagonist, Riku Suigin is a pro-level gamer. The heroine, Riku Rei, knows of this and is the most beautiful girl in school and also loves video games. Suigin receives a device to play a net game called “Grave Buster” from Rei, but Rei is suddenly kidnapped. When Rei puts his hand on the device, he’s sucked into the world of the game. And in that world, a battle between the tomb raiders and tomb protectors for the tomb of the mother goddess Bango’s tomb has been going on for 1000 years.

The original Chinese web comic Yín Zhī Shǒu Mù Rén has more than 418 million views since March 2016. The anime project was first revealed in December 2015 as Emon Animation Company‘s first anime project.
