Another Expendables Star Pulls Out Of The Franchise

Barely two weeks after Sylvester Stallone pulled out of The Expendables franchise, another star actor and action-movie icon has followed suit because, “there is no Expendables without Stallone.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger disclosed this during an interview with EW. The former senator said he has no plans to reprise his role as Trench if the leader and the creator of the Expendables wouldn’t star in the movie.

“There is no Expendables without Sly. I would never do the movie without him, no.”

Arnold’s hesitation to come back to the franchise raises some big question marks about the future of The Expendables. Aside’s Jason Statham, who is the only one left in the series that can pull a big audience, two heavy box-office pullers in Stallone and Arnold, gone, could really cause some serious problems down the line.

Schwarzenegger also revealed that the current plan is for The Expendables 4 to begin shooting as early as August, so the folks behind the sequel will need to move fast.

At this point, I guess this is a good time as any to ask what a lot of peeople have been thinking, “Do we really need another Expendables movie?”
