Marvel and Netflix have released the first photo from the upcoming season two of Marvel’s Luke Cage, and it shows the Misty Knight we know from the comic books.
The new photo gives us a look at Misty Knight (Simone Missick) with the bionic arm that is her signature weapon in the Marvel Comics universe. See the photo below courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

At the end of Marvel’s The Defenders, which saw the first meeting of the Daughters of the Dragon, Misty Knight had her arm cut off by Bokuto – who was presumed dead by Iron Fist and Colleen Wing at the end of Iron Fist.
She was subsequently transferred to a hospital owned by Danny Rand recuperating with Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) by her side.
Wing told Misty that the hospital was state-of-the-art, which made fans guess that she was going to get her signature bionic arm when it was all over.
In the comics, Misty got her bionic arm from Tony Stark after she lost it, so we are yet to know if the same will be the case in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – or if, at least, a possible reference to Stark industries will be made as to the origin of the bionic arm.
I guess we will find out when Luke Cage is released on Netflix in 2018.
