Game Of Thrones Cast Sets New Record, To Earn $3m Per Episode

Game of Thrones has solidified its place as one of the best of the best in TV series’ history. The fantasy show currently boasts the largest cast ever, spending well over $10m to produce every episode (minus salaries), and being one of the most watched TV series with an average of 20million viewers per episode, the award-winning show has definitely achieved enough to keep it flying high years after it ends.

With all the above records in their hands already, it’s not surprising that GoT isn’t done yet as they are set to shatter the record currently held by FRIENDS, The Big Bang Theory, and Two and a Half Men for how much they pay cast members per episode.

Game of Thrones will pay the big 5 cast members (Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) a whopping $3m per episode for the final two seasons. Shattering the former records of cast members of the former holders who earned just over $1m per episode.
Their huge pay day is largely due to the bonuses they’re set to receive for the show’s international syndication.
Game of Thrones season seven will premiere on HBO on July 16.
