Did Marvel’s Daredevil Just Tease A New Addition To The Punisher?

It takes two to make a thing go right. Well, that is, in the context of superheroes teaming up to face the dark forces of the world at large. Marvel has been a big proponent of mixing up superhero stories, just like in the comics, creating interesting duos that are so wrong they’re right.
One of the more popular team-ups of late was Daredevil and The Punisher on Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil. Fans went so wild for the addition, The Punisher was promised his own spinoff series

Audiences are excited to see Frank Castle appear again, but details of when and how have been few and far between. At the end of Daredevil season 2, Castle swiped a CD marked with the word “Micro”. The tease left more questions than answers, but Daredevil’s social media accounts just posted a photo of that salient moment with the caption, “Tomorrow’s answers are hidden in the past.” Check out the post below:
Micro is a nod to a character in the comics named David Lieberman, a hacker and longtime ally of The Punisher who goes by the aliases Micro and Microchip. Last fall, Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls) was cast as Micro for The Punisher, and is listed in 13 episodes on IMDB. With this tease from Daredevil, it seems like we might be getting more information soon.
The image could mean anything. With “tomorrow” in the caption, some are theorizing that a big announcement will be coming out tomorrow. Another theory is that The Punisher and Micro might come back to Daredevil. The latter seems unlikely, with Moss-Bacharach having no Daredevil credits listed on his IMDB at this time. But, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Regardless, it will be fun to see where this clue leads.
The Punisher is created by Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) and will star Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) as the anti-hero who punishes bad guys through gruesome means of his own. The series will air on Netflix in hour-long installments, and as far as the release date… well, maybe we’ll find out tomorrow.
