A stuntwoman lost her life while performing a stunt on the set of Deadpool 2 in Vancouver, Canada on Monday. According to reports by local authorities, her motorcycle crashed during filming.
“Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpoolduring a stunt on a motorcycle,” the police department said in a statement, following an initial announcement on social media. “VPD officers are at the scene, along with officers from WorkSafeBC. More information will be released when it is available.”
20th Century Fox also issued the following statement: “We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of Deadpool 2 this morning. Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends, and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.”
CTV reporter Ben Miljure posted images from the scene to social media, noting the stuntwoman was loaded into an Advanced Life Support ambulance after the incident.
