Eddie Murphy was the King of Comedy in his prime and we believe he still wears that crown.
The Coming to America star, who is also famous for acting roles of multiple characters, is taking us back to the 80s with a sequel to Coming to America. The sequel will star Eddie Murphy, Shari Headley and Arsenio Hall reprising their roles as Prince of Zamunda, wife and friend respectively. In the forthcoming sequel, Jermaine Fowler plays the son of Prince Akeem of Zamunda.
From the cast list, our very own Davido also makes an appearance in the forthcoming film alongside Rotimi, Teyana Taylor and Rick Ross.
The 1988 film was a bang for many and still is a glorious classic to see but the question remains, as much as we want sequels to remind us of our classics, do we really need a Coming to America sequel?
Coming 2 America is scheduled to be released on December 18, 2020, in the United States.
