BUCKET LIST: 5 Hilarious Sitcoms You Must Watch

There’s nothing better than coming home after a hard day’s work to unwind and watch some quality television shows alone (if you are a singu pringu) or with your significant other.

Nothing really gets the relaxing job done better than sitcoms which will have you laughing all through. After all, laughter, they say, is the best medicine.

So if you are a sitcom lover or you want to get in on the sitcom train, below is a list of the top five sitcoms you should watch – in no particular order.

How I Met Your Mother

When you’re talking of sitcoms, this will always rank among the top three on anybody’s list. The show follows the life of Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) who tells his children the story of how he met their mother with his friends Lily, Marshall, Robin and Barney Stinson.

It has everything, hilarious puns, jokes and other plots that will have you falling off your chair in no time at all. If you have ever heard of anyone say “The bro code,” “The playbook,” “challenge accepted,” “Legen – wait for it – dary” or “High 5,” just know the person is an ardent HIMYM fan.

The Big Bang Theory

Hilarious to a fault, this sitcom. It follows the lives of four friends -Sheldon, Wolowitz, Raj, and Leonard, – who make a living and want to gain recognition in the scientific world as well as win over girls with their nerdiness.

The Big Bang Theory is the perfect blend of science mumbo jumbo with comedy at it’s finest level. If Sheldon being Sheldon and Wolowitz being Wolowitz wouldn’t make you laugh, then you’re probably dead inside.

Two and a Half Men

Another sitcom made by the creator of The Big Bang Theory. It follows the story of a broke freeloader, who moved into his brother’s house after a bitter divorce, stayed there for 6 years until his brother died… And still managed to find a way to move in and live with the new owner of the house… Talk about the perfect leech.

Trust me, the lengths he will go to make sure he remains a freeloader in that house without an iota of shame whatsoever will have your ribs cracking every single episode.

Black-ish

Black-ish follows the life of Andre Johnson and his family who are African-Americans living in an upper-class all-white neighbourhood and a white world. Each episode brings a struggle to overcome the barriers and problems African-Americans usually face in such circumstances.

Having won over 22 awards already in just four years of being on screen, it has quickly risen to become one of the best sitcoms in the world. I really suggest you watch this if you want to laugh your ribs out.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

By far my personal favourite, FRIENDS revolves around the lives of six friends who are struggling with love, money, jobs, relationships and things people in their 20s-30s can relate with. You know it’s a great sitcom when the many of the A-list actors in Hollywood today, appeared on the show as guests. Many of today’s sitcoms also use ideas from FRIENDS in their plots and characters.

So there you have it. These five sitcoms are sure to have you laughing every episode.
