Ant-Man and The Wasp: Early Reviews Are In, Here’s What Critics Think

So far, 2018 has been the year of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Black Panther kicking things off in February, Avengers: Infinity War throwing everyone off the rollercoaster in an exciting and emotional fashion, and the MCU is set to keep fans tied down until next year with Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Now Ant-Man’s sequel has screened for the first time and top movie critics have shared their reviews on social media.

Check out the reactions below:
…Don’t go in expecting to get answers to questions from Infinity War. The movie is mostly a stand alone film, even more so than the first one. That said, you’re stupid if you don’t stay in your seat for the credits, more so than a lot of Marvel films.

Ant-Man and the Wasp = almost Doctor Strange levels of wacky. Also AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. To sum up: 👍👍

What a year for Marvel! Absolutely loved #AntManAndTheWasp. Stellar ensemble and the humor is spot on. (Laughed myself to tears during one sequence!) The tech is used to great effect yet again. Unique, highly entertaining ride I can’t wait to go on again.

Ant-Man & The Wasp is crazy fun. Very self-contained, but brimming with energy, and full of cool and creative surprises. Super funny, and the entire cast is wonderful. I had a blast! pic.twitter.com/2lCeUGvzHW

Fun fact: #AntMan and #TheWasp has two of Marvel’s very best post credits scenes in recent memory pic.twitter.com/MpwOddT0sn

Dug the heck out of #AntManAndTheWasp. Clever and charming with lots of heart. It’s a bit exposition heavy, but otherwise a damn delight. One gag had me laughing so hard I was in tears and the post-credits scene is easily one of Marvel’s best.

While early buzz for Ant-Man and The Wasp seems to be overwhelmingly positive, you can judge for yourself in just a few weeks. Peyton Reed’s sequel will arrive in theaters on July 6, 2018
